The all-new 2011 Chrysler 300 began production at Brampton in January 2011. Chrysler's MY2011 VIN coding guide lists the 300 series as Touring, Limited and 300C, with no SRT8 series code, and Chrysler's 2012 300 SRT8 launch release describes that car as building on the all-new 2011 300 without mentioning a 2011 SRT8.1,2,3
This record therefore carries only context. Chrysler reported 36,285 US sales for the whole 300 nameplate in calendar 2011. A 2011 SRT8 should be added only if a Chrysler order guide or specification sheet for 2011 shows one.4
