2010 Chrysler 300C SRT8: one engine, four colors, one interior
The final 6.1-liter 300C SRT8: 425 hp at 6,000 rpm and one five-speed automatic power team.
United States · researched through 2026-09-28
Chrysler's 2010 engineering guide documents a single power team for the 300C SRT8: the 6.1-liter HEMI V-8, a 90-degree pushrod engine of 370 cubic inches with a deep-skirt cast-iron block, aluminum heads and 10.3:1 compression, rated 425 hp at 6,000 rpm and 420 lb-ft at 4,800 rpm with an electronic limit of 6,400 rpm. It drove the rear wheels through the W5A580 five-speed automatic with AutoStick, with ratios of 3.59, 2.19, 1.41, 1.00 and 0.83, a 3.06 final drive and a 3.17 reverse. The car was assembled at Brampton, Ontario, and the guide recommends 91-octane premium fuel and rates it 13 mpg city and 19 highway.1,2
The guide describes the chassis in unusual detail. The unitized steel body sits on a front short-and-long-arm suspension with a high upper A arm and a five-link independent rear, both with Bilstein monotube shocks, SRT-tuned dampers and a ride height half an inch below the 300C. Steering is hydraulic rack-and-pinion at 16.1:1 with 2.75 turns lock to lock. Brembo four-piston calipers grip 14.2-inch front and 13.8-inch rear vented rotors, wheels are 20 by 9 inch forged aluminum, and the standard Goodyear Eagle RS-A tire is P245/45ZR20. The estimated curb weight is 4,160 lb on a 120.0-inch wheelbase.1
The car was offered in four exterior colors, printed in the guide as Bright Silver Metallic Clear Coat, Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl Coat, Deep Water Blue Pearl Coat and Inferno Red Crystal Pearl Coat, and the sales brochure lists the same four for the SRT8. Both documents show one interior: the guide calls it Dark Slate Grey, and the brochure calls it Dark Slate Gray Royale Leather Trim with Perforated Suede Microfiber Inserts. Standard equipment included performance sport seats with suede inserts, carbon-tech accents, xenon headlamps, a power sunroof, dual-zone climate control and a Performance Pages display for 0-60 and quarter-mile timing.1
The option list was short. The guide marks a 13-speaker KICKER audio system with a 322-watt amplifier, a rear-seat video system with a 7-inch screen and DVD player, and three-season Goodyear F1 tires as options, plus SRT Option Group II, which requires the power sunroof and bundles Uconnect navigation and phone. No price for any of these is published in the sources found. The two documents also disagree in places: the brochure calls SIRIUS radio optional where the guide calls it standard, prints the engine as SOHC, and gives a different optional tire size. Each disagreement is kept as a conflict rather than resolved, because both are manufacturer documents of uncertain finality.1
Two prices are documented from a buyer's-guide database: $44,865 as the MSRP excluding destination, with no effective date stated, and $42,501 as the dealer invoice price. Chrysler's release for the car makes performance claims without stating test conditions: 0-60 mph in the low five seconds, 0-100-0 mph in under 17 seconds, 0.89 g on the skid pad and 60-0 mph braking in about 110 ft. Chrysler did not publish a 300C SRT8 production or sales count; its sales summary gives 37,116 US sales for the whole 300 nameplate in calendar 2010, a figure covering every trim and not an SRT8 count.3,2,4

Coverage: Partial — researched sections are shown; missing ones are not yet sourced. Researched through 2026-09-28.
Every figure is labeled with how sure we are. Reported means a manufacturer, registry, or reference figure we cite but have not reconciled against factory records ourselves. Disputed means credible sources disagree and both are shown. Rows are separately scoped; don't add them together unless the note says they make up a total.

Chrysler published no 300C SRT8 build count. The 2010 model-year worldwide figure comes from one enthusiast compilation (wkbible.com, last updated 2018-11-01) that names no underlying record, so it is reported, not verified. Searched 2026-09-29: Chrysler and Stellantis media, Wikipedia, MoparInsiders, allpar, LX and Charger forum threads (the forums could not be read and cannot be cited). A Chrysler build record or a registry count naming its record would confirm it.

Where the sources disagree
Rated peak-power engine speed of the 6.1-liter HEMI
The manufacturer engineering guide is the primary source and the record's engine rating uses 6,000 rpm. The buyer's-guide database is a secondary compilation and its 6200 is kept as a conflicting value, not adopted. Both sources agree on 425 hp and on 420 lb-ft at 4,800 rpm.
Valvetrain of the 6.1-liter HEMI
- Pushrod overhead valve, 16 valves, hydraulic roller lifters1
- Engine row printed '6.1L SOHC SRT HEMI V8 -- 5-speed AutoStick' (code 21X)
The brochure's 'SOHC' is quoted as printed and not adopted; the engineering guide's engine description is the detailed engineering source and the record's specifications follow it. The brochure is marketing material and its line-wide table may reuse a heading from another engine.
SIRIUS Satellite Radio: standard or optional
- Standard (S)1
- Optional (O), printed 'Included with Media Center 730N radio'
Unresolved. The record's standard-audio row carries the guide's mark and labels it; the SRT Option Group II option row carries the brochure's association with the 730N radio. The engineering guide is preliminary data and the brochure is sales literature, so neither settles what a given car carried.
Supplemental side-curtain air bags: standard or package
- Marked P (available within a package), but the guide names no package that contains them1
- Included
Unresolved. No package was found that includes them, which fits the brochure's 'included' better, but the guide's P mark is kept as printed and the record does not assert either reading.
Optional performance tires
- Goodyear F1 Supercar three-season P245/45ZR20, front and rear1
- Optional row printed 'P245/45R20, 255/45ZR20 Performance'
Unresolved. The engineering guide gives one size front and rear and the brochure prints two sizes and drops the Z speed rating on one. Both are quoted as printed; the option row names the guide's tire and notes the brochure's size.
Inferno Red Crystal Pearl Coat: optional or a regular color
- An O mark beside Inferno Red, with no mark beside the other three colors1
- All four colors carry the same '1' mark in the SRT8 column and no optional mark is shown
Unresolved. The guide's mark may signal an extra-cost color or may be a table artifact; no color price is published in either source, so the paint rows list all four colors and record the guide's mark in the Inferno Red row.
Performance Display: standard or part of a package
- EVIC with Performance Pages (0-60, eighth-mile, quarter-mile, braking timers, G-meter) marked standard1
- Performance Display shown as included in the SRT8 column but annotated 'Included with SRT Option Group I', although only SRT Option Group II is listed as an SRT8 package
Unresolved. The brochure's annotation appears to be a line-wide note that does not match an SRT8 package; the specifications row follows the engineering guide's standard mark and the odd annotation is preserved here.
