This record's own dek describes 2011 as the second year of the EcoBoost SHO, 365 hp, standard AWD, and the SHO Performance Package with a 3.16:1 final drive. This record's own overview states that Ford's 2011 Taurus brochure lists the SHO's 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 at 365 hp at 5,500 rpm and 350 lb-ft at 3,500 rpm, with premium fuel recommended but not required, the engine driving all four wheels through a six-speed SelectShift automatic rated at 17 mpg city, 25 highway, and 20 combined.

This record's own overview states that the brochure calls the SHO Performance Package all-new for 2011, adding upgraded brake pads, sport-calibrated steering, an AdvanceTrac Sport Mode, a 3.16:1 final drive against 2.77:1, and 20-inch summer tires on painted aluminum wheels, a package this record's own options section also lists with the added note that it could not be combined with adaptive cruise control. This record's own production notes state that no production figures for this generation were found in a published source, and that no SHO Performance Package take-rate was found either.

This record's own prices section documents an MSRP of $38,155 against a $35,035 dealer invoice, a spread of $3,120, both from the buyer's-guide database, with the effective date of that MSRP not stated and no destination charge documented separately. This record's own production row carries a null value and a status of not-published for the year, consistent with the absence of a production figure already noted in this record's own overview.1

This record's own options section documents Rapid Spec 401A, adding a power moonroof, Sony audio with 12 speakers and 390 watts, and heated and cooled front seats, and Rapid Spec 402A, adding that same content plus heated rear seats, a rear-window power sunshade, memory power pedals, auto high beams, BLIS with cross-traffic alert, and rain-sensing wipers. Adaptive cruise control, voice-activated navigation, and multicontour front seats with Active Motion are each documented as requiring 401A or 402A, none of the seven options in this record's own options section carrying a price or an installation count.

Six exterior colors are documented for the year without production counts: Kona Blue Metallic, Red Candy Metallic Tinted Clearcoat and White Platinum Metallic Tri-coat at additional charge, Ingot Silver Metallic, Sterling Gray Metallic, and Tuxedo Black Metallic, none carrying a production figure in this record. Two interior trims are documented, both Charcoal Black leather with perforated Miko Suede inserts, one in Charcoal Black and one in Umber, both standard.

This record's own specifications section documents the 2.77:1 standard final drive against the 3.16:1 Performance Package ratio, a 112.9-inch wheelbase, a 202.9-inch overall length, a 19.0-gallon fuel tank, and 19-inch premium painted Luster-nickel aluminum wheels standard on the SHO, with the Performance Package's own 20-inch summer tires an upgrade from that standard wheel. This record's own unpublished leads document the same claimed 2013 SHO production breakdown by color, package, and market posted on an EcoBoost enthusiast forum, flagged in this record as forum-only with the underlying breakdown not read at all.

The numbers

2011 Ford Taurus SHO — Second year of the EcoBoost SHO: 365 hp, standard AWD, and the SHO Performance Package with a 3.16:1 final drive.

Coverage: Partial — researched sections are shown; missing ones are not yet sourced. Researched through 2026-09-22.

Every figure is labeled with how sure we are. Reported means a manufacturer, registry, or reference figure we cite but have not reconciled against factory records ourselves. Disputed means credible sources disagree and both are shown. Rows are separately scoped; don't add them together unless the note says they make up a total.

No SHO Performance Package take-rate was found either.

No whole-year 2011 SHO production figure was found. Ford Show Parts lists its certificate of authenticity, which it says carries model-year production totals, for 2010 through 2013 only. Owner-typed 2013 readings exist only as a forum lead (see the 2013 record); for this year no thread, page or post was found that reads a total off the certificate. Searched 2026-09-29: shoforum.com and Blue Oval Forums threads (the latter keeps its figures in a PDF attachment that could not be read), the Ford Show Parts product page and web searches on Ford, Flat Rock and Chicago Assembly SHO counts; ecoboostownerforums.com returned HTTP 403 and was not read. A reading of the 2011 certificate, or a Ford statement of the total, would close it.
