For 2007, Dodge carried the Magnum SRT8's drivetrain over unchanged: the 425-horsepower, 420-lb-ft 6.1-liter HEMI V8, paired with a five-speed automatic and AutoStick manual control, still sat on 20-inch forged wheels. What changed for the year was mostly cosmetic and electronic: two new colors, TorRed and Steel Blue Metallic, joined the palette, and a rear-seat video system with Kicker surround sound became a new option. Dodge's own release claimed 0-60 mph in the low five-second range and 0.88 g on the skidpad, manufacturer figures this record carries as claims rather than independently measured results.1

Chrysler's own sales summary reports 30,256 US Magnum sales for calendar 2007, but that figure covers the entire Magnum nameplate, every trim level together, and no source found in this pass breaks out an SRT8-specific sales or production count. Pricing for the SRT8 specifically has to be inferred rather than read directly: Ward's Automotive Yearbook 2007 prints a whole-nameplate Magnum price range of $23,545 to $38,220 without naming which trim sits at the top, but the same row's 2006 range top, $37,995, matches the already-sourced 2006 Magnum SRT8 MSRP exactly, so reading the 2007 top of $38,220 as the SRT8 price follows the same pattern rather than being a stated fact.2,3

The 6.1-liter HEMI itself displaced 370 cubic inches at a 10.3:1 compression ratio, electronically limited to 6,400 rpm, and EPA-rated at 14 city and 20 highway miles per gallon. Stopping power came from Brembo four-piston fixed calipers on vented rotors measuring 360 by 32 millimeters up front and 350 by 28 millimeters at the rear, and the car rode on P245/45R20 front and P255/45R20 rear Goodyear F1 Supercar three-season tires as standard equipment, with an estimated curb weight of 4,260 pounds split 53/47 front to rear. The five-speed W5A580 automatic's own gear ratios ran from 3.59:1 in first down to 0.83:1 overdrive in fifth, with a 3.06:1 final drive, the same transmission and ratio set carried over from the prior model year alongside the unchanged engine.4

Every 2007 Magnum SRT8 came standard with the SRT Track Experience, a one-day driving event at the Skip Barber Racing School, bundled as Package 4 alongside three optional equipment packages: Package 1 added automatic dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, and a universal garage door opener; Package 2 brought an 11-speaker Kicker audio system with a 100-watt subwoofer and 276-watt amplifier plus a security alarm; and Package 3 added AM/FM navigation radio, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, and UConnect hands-free communication. A power sunroof and supplemental side curtain air bags rounded out the options sheet outside those three packages.4

Inside, the SRT8 paired Dark Slate Gray and Light Gray trim with power sport front seats finished in performance suede inserts and contrasting red stitching. The wagon body measured 197.7 inches long on a 120-inch wheelbase, 74.1 inches wide and 57.9 inches tall, with an estimated 0.351 drag coefficient, a 19-gallon fuel tank, and 27.2 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the rear seats, expanding to 71.6 cubic feet with those seats folded, numbers that kept the SRT8 a full-size hauler even with the performance hardware underneath it.4

Coverage: Partial — researched sections are shown; missing ones are not yet sourced. Researched through 2026-09-23.

Every figure is labeled with how sure we are. Reported means a manufacturer, registry, or reference figure we cite but have not reconciled against factory records ourselves. Disputed means credible sources disagree and both are shown. Rows are separately scoped; don't add them together unless the note says they make up a total.

Chrysler published no Magnum SRT8 build count. The 2007 model-year worldwide figure comes from one enthusiast compilation (wkbible.com, last updated 2018-11-01) that names no underlying record, so it is reported, not verified. Searched 2026-09-29: Chrysler media, Wikipedia, MoparInsiders, LX and Charger forum threads (forums could not be read and cannot be cited). A Chrysler build record or a registry count naming its record would confirm it.
