Cautions for this scheme
- Decoded from Ford's own VIN code submissions to NHTSA. A decode shows what the VIN says, not what the car is; it is not authentication.
- The 2003 Marauder has no line code in the only 2003 submission in NHTSA's database; for 2003 only the Marauder-only engine code V is published.
- Only subject lines are tabulated; other line and engine codes show as unknown code. Mustang line codes are sourced for 2004 and 2010 only.
- Taurus SHO restraint and plant codes for 2011-2016 are taken from each year's Taurus page (template 1 F A H P 2 ? ? ? year G).
Where the sources disagree
- 2004 Marauder engine output printed 300 hp in Revision 2 and 302 hp in Revision 4.
- The 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis/Marauder page labels its sequence range "600001 thru 999999 Lincoln Pass Car".
