This record's own dek describes 2010 as the Challenger's fortieth-anniversary year: heritage colors with serialized plaques, a 400-car Furious Fuchsia SRT8, and the first Mopar-branded factory special at 500 cars. This record's own overview states that Chrysler's 2010 engineering guides document four V-8 power teams, the R/T's 5.7 HEMI with a five-speed automatic at 372 hp or the TR-6060 six-speed manual at 376 hp, and the SRT8's 6.1 HEMI at 425 hp with either gearbox, while Dodge's retail brochure prints 375 hp for the manual R/T, a one-horsepower disagreement this record keeps as a logged conflict.1

The year's limited editions were color-led, per this record's own overview: Plum Crazy Pearl Coat R/T Classics and SRT8s were ordered from October 2009 and built from late November, Furious Fuchsia R/T Classics and a 400-car serialized SRT8 series were announced in February 2010 and built from May, and the Mopar '10 Challenger, an R/T-based car in Brilliant Black with Mopar-blue, red or silver accents, was announced at 500 cars in July 2010. This record's own key facts add that the Furious Fuchsia SRT8 carried a $45,150 destination-inclusive price and that the Mopar '10 was priced at $38,000 automatic or $39,000 manual with a Mark Trostle-sketch owner kit.2,3,4

This record's own production section states that no 2010 model-year production total was found, reusing Chrysler's reported 36,791 calendar-year 2010 US Challenger sales as the best available substitute. Six separately scoped, worldwide color-production counts are documented: 3,514 HEMI Orange, 2,741 Plum Crazy, 2,031 B5 Blue, 1,527 Furious Fuchsia, 1,483 Detonator Yellow and 6,694 TorRed cars, alongside a Mopar '10 build count of 601 Brilliant Black cars that this record's own note flags as exceeding the 500 announced, with the table silent on whether the extra cars were Canadian, press, or later builds.5,6

Three engines are documented: the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 at 372 hp and 400 lb-ft with the five-speed automatic, the same 5.7 at 376 hp and 410 lb-ft with the TR-6060 six-speed manual per the engineering guide (though the retail brochure prints 375 hp, carried into this record's conflicts), and the 6.1-liter SRT HEMI V-8 at 425 hp and 420 lb-ft on either transmission. Two transmissions are documented, the five-speed automatic with AutoStick and the Tremec six-speed manual, both offered on R/T and SRT8.1,7

This record documents an extensive options list: the Mopar '10 package with a vented T/A-style hood, cold-air intake and 20-inch forged gloss-black wheels; the Furious Fuchsia edition's Pearl White leather with fuchsia accents; lettered equipment groups for the SE, R/T and R/T Classic; and layered Sound Groups and Track Pak variants, including an SRT8 Track Pak with a 3.91 final drive. Twelve exterior colors are documented, six of them carrying the color-specific production counts noted above, alongside eight interior trim descriptions; this record's own specifications section is empty for the year, a documented gap rather than an assumption that no dimensional data exists.4,3

This record's own performance section carries a single manufacturer claim, a 4.9-second 0-60 mph for the SRT8, and its identification section documents that the Plum Crazy SRT8, Furious Fuchsia SRT8 and Mopar '10 cars all carried serialized dash plaques, with the Mopar '10 owner-kit certificate recording the VIN and build number. Its conflicts section logs the R/T manual horsepower dispute already summarized above, 376 hp against the brochure's 375 hp, and the Mopar '10 production dispute, the 500 announced against Dodge's own 2015 table figure of 601 built.8

Coverage: Partial — researched sections are shown; missing ones are not yet sourced. Researched through 2026-09-23.

Every figure is labeled with how sure we are. Reported means a manufacturer, registry, or reference figure we cite but have not reconciled against factory records ourselves. Disputed means credible sources disagree and both are shown. Rows are separately scoped; don't add them together unless the note says they make up a total.

Plum Crazy and Detonator Yellow were announced as limited editions without a count; Dodge's 2015 limited-colour table later gave built counts (see the paint rows).

No 2010 model-year total or trim split was found in a Chrysler source. The 'total' row above reuses calendar-year US sales as the best available substitute; see that row's note.

The 2010 colour rows come from Dodge's limited-colour table (worldwide, published August 2015, repeated March 2016). Each is a separate slice; they are not a partition of a total, and no 2010 model-year total was published.

Plum Crazy (2,741) and Detonator Yellow (1,483) now have factory counts, both for R/T Classic and SRT8 combined.
