This record's own dek states that the Tempest name gives way to T-37 for 1971, the GT-37 option carries on, and the 455 HO is available in two-door LeMans models. This record's own overview states that a compiled table lists T-37 production as 7,184 coupes, 8,336 sedans, and 29,466 hardtops, the last figure covering both the T-37 and GT-37 hardtop, with the GT-37 V8 hardtop listed at $2,928 and the GT-37 option itself at $237.1,2
This record's own overview states that the 455 HO was available in two-door models only, with Pontiac's AMA sheets rating it at 335 hp gross and 310 hp net. This record's own production rows document the T-37 total at 44,986, the LeMans total at 69,539 across six body styles from a 2,734-car sport coupe to a 40,966-car two-door hardtop, and the LeMans Sport total at 40,941, with a separately not-published GT-37-alone row noting the source groups GT-37 with T-37 hardtops rather than counting it apart.2,3
This record's own engines section documents five powertrains: the standard 250 six at 145 hp, the 350 two-barrel L30 at 250 hp and $121, the 400 two-barrel L65 at 265 hp and $174, the 400 four-barrel L78 at $221 and standard in GTO, and the 455 HO LS5 at 335 hp gross or 310 hp net and $358, standard in The Judge and $137 in other GTOs. This record's own transmissions section documents a standard three-speed manual, an optional four-speed with V8s, a two-speed automatic and Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 with the six and 350 two-barrel, and Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 with the 400 and 350 V8s.2
This record's own prices section documents an extensive matrix of six-cylinder and V8 prices across T-37, LeMans, and LeMans Sport body styles, from $2,747 for a six-cylinder T-37 sport coupe to $3,480 for a V8 LeMans Sport convertible. Its own note on the LeMans four-door sedan states that the six-cylinder row prints $2,025, out of line with every other 1971 LeMans price and probably a slip for $3,025, and that this record does not show that figure as a price.1
This record's own options section documents the GT-37 option at $237, Honeycomb wheels at $63 on T-37 and $126 on LeMans, LeMans Sport Endura front styling at $74, and an extensive further list including $408 air conditioning and a $239 AM/FM stereo radio. Twenty exterior colors are documented for the year without production counts, each carrying a two-digit numeric code, from Cameo White (11) to Rosewood (78).2
This record's own specifications section documents a 112-inch two-door wheelbase against 116 inches for four-doors, a 202.8-inch overall length for two-doors against 206.8 for four-doors, a 76.7-inch width, a 61-inch front and 60-inch rear track, a 3,450 lb shipping weight for the GT-37 hardtop, and a 3,455 lb weight for the V8 LeMans Sport hardtop against 3,199 lb for the six. This record's own identification section documents an extensive body-number list across T-37, LeMans, and LeMans Sport, and its performance and conflicts sections are both empty for the year.1
